Job Summary
EY Client Technologies is a new division of EY focused on bringing technology solutions to market to support our offerings. The program is forward looking and will be making use of the latest releases of technology from Microsoft amongst others.
An Analytics and Data Architect owns the core architectural elements of analytics and comes up with architectural foundations in order for teams to build application features. He or She will collaborate with stakeholders to drive the product’s release plan using Agile methodlogy. In addition to collaboration with business, the A&D Architect also works with Enterprise Architects to keep solution design in alignment with EY’s approved standards of a large scale enterprise application and ensure seamless integration with other distributed services offered by a myriad of products at EY. He or She may coordinate and manage multiple teams of development resources to enforce process and review output of developers to ensure predictability and quality of deliverables.
This role straddles the world of Microsoft SQL Analytics, Azure Data Warehouse, BI/Visualization Technologies, Hadoop and other Big Data technologies. The key being the right data architecture to solve the right problem.
This is an in-town role with low travel.
*Preferred location is in Alpharetta, GA while 3 weeks of travel in a month is required if located outside Alpharetta.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
To qualify, candidates must also have a majority combination of the following:

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems Management, Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related field and 8 years work experience.

Must have an ability to communicate well with non-technical business people on technical subjects in a Sales Engineering capacity.

Must have 7 years of experience working with Business Intelligence teams, Data Integration developers, Data Scientists, and Analysts and DBA’s to deliver well-architected and scalable production Analytics systems
·
Must have 7 years of experience with SQL and scripting languages (including Python and R)
·
Must have 5 years of experience with architecting distributed, global, solutions dealing with high volume of data
·
Must have 5 years of experience with cloud computing infrastructure and platforms, including 2 years with Azure as one of the platforms
·
Should have experience with visualization tools like PowerBI and Tableau
·
Must have 3 years of experience in architecting Big Data applications using a minimum of 3 of the following Hadoop technologies: Spark, MapReduce, YARN, HDFS, Hive, Impala, Oozie, HBase, or Cassandra.
and one major Hadoop platform (Cloudera, Hortonworks, or MapR)

Must have 3 years of experience in SQL, Data Warehouse, and BigData design patterns
· Must have 2 years of exposure to RapidMiner
·
Ideally has 3 years of experience with at least one programming language (.Net, C#, Java)
·
Must have at least 3 years experience with a Major Consulting company which has both Business and System Integration consulting
