EY’s Financial Services Office (FSO) is a unique, industry-focused business unit that provides a broad range of integrated services that leverage deep industry experience with strong functional capability and product knowledge. We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for an excellent career opportunity as an Assurance Senior in our Financial Services Office.  This position is for an individual who is willing to specialize in clients in the equipment leasing industry.

Responsibilities:
 
·  Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel and assess clients' satisfaction.
·  Proactively maintain contact with the client throughout the year.
·  Direct fieldwork daily, inform supervisors of the engagement status, and manage staff performance.
·  Adapt the audit approach to the changing client environment.
·  Demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex accounting and auditing concepts and apply them to client situations.
·  Develop people through effectively delegating tasks and providing guidance to staff.
·  Foster an efficient, innovative, and team-oriented work environment.
·  Contribute ideas/opinions to the audit teams and listen/respond to other team members' views.
·  Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery.
·  Maintain an educational program to continually develop skills.
·  Develop an understanding of Ernst & Young's service lines and actively seek/encourage team members to contribute ideas and identify opportunities to apply the firm's services. 
·  Demonstrate willingness and ability to travel outside your work location to designated client engagements.

This position requires up to 30% travel time to a client site in Maryland, US and staying at the client location for between 2 and 8 weeks in a row.  Candidates must be eligible to work in the US and EY will provide legal/immigration assistance on obtaining a valid US work Visa.

This position also requires up to 50% time spent at a client site near Square One in Mississauga.

The applicant must have a valid G class driver’s license and a driving record that makes them eligible to rent a car in Maryland, US.

To qualify, candidates must have:
·  A bachelor's degree and in accounting, business or finance
·  Successfully passed the Canadian CFE and / or possess a Canadian CPA/CA designation, or possess a reciprocal CPA/CA designation recognized with CPA
·  A minimum of 2 years of experience working as an auditor for a public accounting firm
·  Experience in leasing from the lessor’s perspective, asset based lending, and/or securitization vehicles is beneficial, but not necessary
·  Experience participating in engagement management, engagement execution and reporting, and client relationship building
·  Excellent project management skills
·  Advanced written and verbal communication skills
·  A dedication to teamwork and leadership
·  Integrity within a professional environment 

Ability to travel to the US is mandatory
