Assurance Advisor, Insurance (Financial Services Office) (Manager) (Multiple Positions), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, Chicago  , IL.
 
Provide audit advisory services, demonstrating to insurance clients that there is real value in the audit process, above and beyond the regulatory mandate. Plan and perform audit procedures in accordance with U.S. GAAS, including PCAOB rules and regulations, for private and public company financial statements prepared in accordance with U.S. GAAP. Apply knowledge of SEC rules and regulations over financial reporting. Identify accounting and auditing issues on a timely basis. Provide accounting insights to clients in a clear and concise manner, including insights into complex accounting issues such as revenue recognition, share-based compensation, business combinations and internal controls. Focus on audits for insurance clients. 

Manage and motivate teams with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services by monitoring progress. Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Cultivate business development opportunities.

Full time employment, Monday– Friday,40hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business, or a related field, plus 5 years of post-bachelor’s, progressive related work experience; OR a Master's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business, or a related field, plus 4 years of related work experience.

Must have 2 years of experience in engagement management, engagement execution and reporting, and client relationship building while serving clients in the insurance industry.

Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience:
- supervising the planning, execution, reporting on audits of financial statements prepared in accordance with, U.S. GAAS and U.S. GAAP, or a foreign equivalent (International Accounting Standards (IAS) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS));
- supervising audit teams consisting of two or more staff members; and,
- Recent audit experience with a public accounting firm, working with large multinational clients.
- Cumulative 2 years of experience in public company SEC rules, regulations, financial reporting, and PCAOB standards; and/or, a foreign equivalent (International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)). 

Must meet one of the following criteria: Active CPA certification; or foreign equivalent; or sufficient educational/experience requirements (as determined by state Board of Accountancy) to receive CPA certification within one year of hire/ promotion.

Must have 1 year of experience in the use of audit documentation software.

Travel required to meet client needs up to 50%.
