Job description
Job Summary:
The Asset Administrator oversees management and control of inventory and tracks technology assets. This professional performs multiple asset management support activities in accordance with E&Y's policy, and uses appropriate tools, techniques and standards to meet asset management goals and objectives.
Essential Functions of the Job:
· Perform asset management support activities in accordance with firm policy.
· Administer the repairs process. Conduct Asset Recovery/Disposal. Track the status of terminating and replacement.
· Process charges to business units for missing, lost, damaged or replacement assets. Review and validate invoices for payment. Resolve packing slip vs. PO discrepancies.
· Review asset management forms and records to ensure compliance with E&Y's standards and guidelines.
· Perform various administrative duties such as: shipping and receiving; filing records; and inputting data to systems.
· Perform basic technical tasks, including: re-configuring machines for return to inventory; wiping drives; troubleshooting and bench-testing defective equipment to determine extent of damage; and coordinating repairs with staff and manufacturers.
· Facilitate the delivery of technology inventory, the receipt into inventory and the control of those assets. Track the movement of inventory assets, and process related accounting entries. Alert appropriate groups upon receipt of the product, and distribute to end users or Operations. Administer shell swaps in and out of inventory for the Area.
· Support and participate in, or oversee inventory management and control processes.
· Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis related to inventory levels and other asset management metrics.
Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:
· Strong analytical skills needed to identify issues with assets being repaired or to address inventory/count issues.
· Decision making ability is needed to determine quantities of assets to purchase and to prioritize daily tasks.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
· Proficiency in spread sheeting and word processing.
· The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, effectively prioritize tasks, and apply technical knowledge.
· Strong interpersonal, communication, time management and organizational skills.
· Excellent customer service attitude.
· Ability to work effectively with all levels of end users and IT personnel.
· An excellent and consistent eye for details.
· Ability to communicate in English language.
Supervision Responsibilities:
· This role receives direct supervision for task assignment and does not supervise other positions
