Job description



The Opportunity:

 

This is a fantastic opportunity to join UK&I Talent Development within the Apprenticeships team, where you will support the delivery of EY’s Apprenticeship programmes. This will include being responsible for day to day programme delivery, Apprentice progression and ongoing student support and pastoral care.

Your Key Responsibilities:

 

Programme Management:

·  Specific responsibility for day to day delivery and continuous improvement of EY’s Apprenticeship programmes and the Apprentice support model
·  Work in partnership with Talent functions, and the broader Talent Development team, to support the delivery of programmes and bring together all aspects of an Apprentice’s learning journey
·  Support the delivery of, and compliance with, policies, procedures, training and documentation to ensure effective demonstration of EY's Apprentice support model, for both internal and external audit purposes
·  Management of the Apprentice management system used to track Apprentice progression towards the knowledge, skills and behaviours in the Apprenticeship Standard
·  Management of Apprentice and Counsellor communications to ensure information is available in the right depth, and at the right time, for all parties, using SharePoint and other communication resources
·  Involvement in ongoing team projects to inform quality programme development and respond to identified improvements

·      Adopt a ‘champion’ role for aspects of Apprenticeship delivery within your peer group, such as Safeguarding, English & maths requirements etc.

 

Pastoral Care:

 

·  Support the pastoral care provision for Apprentices through virtual and face-to-face 1:1’s, focus groups, programme briefings, and deal with escalated queries and concerns
·  Host coaching and learning support sessions with Apprentices to monitor learner progression and provide continual support whilst on programme
·  You will also have the opportunity to complete learning related to coaching, mentoring and learning support whilst in role

 

Data, MI & Reporting

·  Monitor and report on Apprentice development in relation to the knowledge, skills and behaviours listed within the Apprenticeship standard, and on the 20% off-the-job learning requirement, in accordance with EY Apprenticeship policies and procedures 
·  Use data and information available to critically evaluate programme delivery to support EY’s self-assessment and quality improvement planning
·  Use systems effectively so that data is maintained with integrity and update learning records consistently to ensure accurate reporting of trainee learning at all times
·  Support strategic development of Apprenticeship programme delivery through analysis of programmes, competitor activity and trainee data

 

Partnering with the Business:

·  Build a strong profile and network internally
·  Influence stakeholders to ensure Apprenticeship development is on the people agenda
·  Develop an understanding of the business, the external market and trends and ensures that this knowledge is shared with stakeholders and the wider team as appropriate
·  Respond to business need, demonstrating speed of response through own actions and proactively proposing ideas and solutions

 

Team Management & Contribution:

·      Maintain CPD compliance to ensure knowledge and understanding of apprenticeship requirements are up to date as well as ongoing experience in coaching and learner support

·  Regular involvement in meetings, workshops and focus groups, cascading information to wider team and relevant audiences
·  Knowledge and best practice sharing
·  Contribute to talent wide initiatives as required
·  Support new joiners to the team, acting as a buddy

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have:

·  A desire to seize opportunities to build knowledge (e.g., researching, networks, webinars and events)
·  Evidence of being a strong team player with an enthusiastic, can do approach
·  Excellent communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong business relationships
·  Strong organisation skills with an attention to detail, an ability to deliver to deadlines and to prioritise effectively
·  A desire to work in a challenging and new environment and comfortable working with an element of ambiguity
·  Solid experience of planning and executing large scale programmes
·  A focus on quality and improvement to meet regulatory requirements

 Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

·  A basic understanding of apprenticeships within the UK and the governments apprenticeship strategy and reforms
·  A desire to embrace and drive change whilst identifying and implementing process improvements and demonstrating best practice
·  Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
·  Excellent communication skills to engage with a wide and diverse audience
