Your key responsibilities
As an analyst, you have the opportunity to work within our TAS specialty practice who is recognized as a trusted source of expertise for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, financing, privatization, and recapitalizations. As part of this team you will contribute to advising C-suite executives and private company business owners on evaluating strategic alternatives in the context of transactions.
Sk ills and attributes for success
· Define and analyze key business drivers
· Perform and synthesize research to be used in modeling, competitive analysis, industry analysis, negotiation support and various other applications
· Develop financial models within broadly defined guidelines
· Prepare 1st draft of marketing materials
· Prepare presentations for client meetings
· Provide strategic advice to clients across a range of industries and transactions
· Execute transactions and support the team’s deal origination activities and development
To qualify for the role, you must have
· Undergraduate degree
· Working knowledge of the Canadian and International Finance and Accounting concepts and principles as it relates to M&A transactions
· Strong project management and multi-tasking skills
· Strong computer and financial modeling skills
· Excellent analytical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
· Strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills
Ideally, you’ll also have
A professional designation, such as the:
· CPA designation or successful completion of the CFE;
·
CBV designation or progress towards the completion of the CBV program of studies; or
·
CFA designation or progress towards the completion of the CFA program of studies
·
A minimum of 2 - 4 years of work experience in a related field
