The opportunity

Cyber Security is much more than a technology issue. It affects every level of business and is a board-level topic across the financial services industry. Our focus is on helping our financial services clients proactively manage cyber risk, enabling them to take advantage of opportunities in today's digital world and maintain the trust of their customers.

Joining our team you will support our clients in developing the ability to resist, react to and recover from potentially catastrophic Cyber threats and reshape their environments for increasingly secure, sustainable operations is fundamental to their business success.

As part of your graduate training you will develop your Cyber skills through specific training courses and certifications. This will be followed by further training to hone your skills and develop competency specific technical skills through a structured training programme throughout the scheme.

Your key responsibilities

During your first two years with the firm, you will gain experience supporting our clients in one or more of the following areas:
·  Cyber Strategy and Transformation - Helping clients define and execute business-specific roadmaps for managing and reducing Cyber Risk. This could include helping with strategy and transformation delivery, evaluating regulatory and business risks, designing target operating models, leading awareness and culture change or implementing new solutions.

·  Cyber Threat Management – Understanding the likelihood and potential impact of different types of attacks on, and risks to, our clients in order to help them anticipate breaches before they occur, and increase their ability to respond quickly, decisively and effectively to confirmed breaches.

·  Cyber Resilience – Support clients in developing the ability to resist, react to and recover from potentially catastrophic Cyber threats and reshape their environments for increasingly secure, sustainable operations.

·  Identity and Access Management – Development of risk-based identity, authorisation and entitlement management solutions as a foundation of a client's security architecture.

·  Privacy and Data Protection – Understanding the data that is key to both an organisation and its customers, identifying key risks to this data and defining and implementing controls to minimise them.

What training and development will I receive?

In addition to on-the-job coaching, mentoring and support, you’ll receive formal training too. On joining, you’ll have an intensive induction course to develop your core consulting skills and get you ready to start a project and interact with the client. This will be followed by further training to hone your skills and develop competency specific technical skills through a structured training programme throughout the three year scheme.

You’ll also have the opportunity to study for the industry recognised CIMA foundation qualification and gain a solid grounding in finance and business law, as well as the option to study an information security related qualification such as the Certified Information Security Professional (CISSP) qualification.

The training and professional qualifications you will gain, as well as the networks you will build, will be invaluable to your future. Also, your frequent exposure to different clients will mean you will have the chance to grow your expertise in an area of your choice, which is where you may specialise later on in your career.
