Job description
We have a fantastic vacancy for a strong Warehouse Operator to join our state-of-the-art production facility in New Zealand within a versatile team. In this role, you will take ownership of maintaining the receipt, storage, and distribution of all stock (e.g., raw materials, QA samples, and finished goods) to enable the company to supply its customers with products to the required quality standards and in a timely manner. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you will ensure maximum efficiency and compliance while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the company.
This is a permanent full-time position working Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm.
You will:
· Contribute to the achievement of a zero-harm workplace through active participation in health and safety programs.
· Ensure high levels of awareness and understanding of all relevant health and safety policies and procedures.
· Receive, store, and distribute materials in a tidy and accurate manner.
· Minimize product, packaging, building, and machinery damage.
· Carry out routine checks accurately.
· Assist and support all operations team members.
· Ensure all materials handling equipment is operating correctly and fit for the task required.
· Check stock levels before production requirements and inform senior management of discrepancies.
· Ensure that trucks delivering materials JIT (Just In Time) for production are unloaded promptly into the correct area.
· Ensure outbound consignments are loaded onto trucks on time to adhere to the site's daily trucking schedule.
· Follow all Health & Safety procedures as outlined in the Health & Safety Manual.
· Maintain the stores and distribution cleaning, sanitization, environmental, and rodent programs.
Ideally, you will have:
· Forklift Operation Certification.
· Pathogen Awareness Certification.
· Experience in stock management and record keeping.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work as a team player.
· Computer literacy (RF, SAP experience advantageous).
· The ability to adapt to new processes, systems, or other changes in a positive manner.
· A proactive self-starter attitude with the initiative to find solutions and solve problems.
· Punctuality, trustworthiness, and an excellent attendance record.
