ABOUT THE ROLE - Te tūranga mahi

As a Shift Engineer , you play a key role in ensuring the performance of our production line, managing downtime to a minimum and you will be an integral decision maker on each production shift. You will be accountable for equipment & processes in production as well as providing effective and efficient maintenance support.

We have permanent full-time positions available working on a with a 2-2-3 shift pattern, rotating between day and nights. You will be part of our Dan-IWS (Integrated Work Systems) team of 8 Shift Engineers at our Auckland production site, reporting to the Technical Lead. 

For the night shift, you will be required to work a 12.25-hour shift between 5:45pm and 6:00am.
For the day shift, you will be required to work a 12.25-hour shift between 5:45am and 6:00pm.

Your minimum guaranteed hours of work will be 42.88 hours per week.   

The salary range for this role is $95K - $115k.

You will:

·  Be responsible for daily maintenance, problem solving and on-the-line trouble shooting
·  Implement effective fault-finding and resolutions to unplanned downtimes, as well as improvements to machine/equipment functionality or processes
·  Identify opportunities for improvement and implement these across the plant, at both the equipment and systems level
·  Support the reliability programme to ensure the effective close out of RCA actions
·  Communicating effectively with all relevant stakeholders to ensure collaboration, coordination and effective maintenance support across the shift
·  Assist with integration of new equipment / systems into production lines
·  Act with a sense of urgency in dealing with incidents causing production downtime or wastage.
·  Maintain the preventative maintenance program and keep all maintenance and lubrication records up to date for the plant and the buildings.

ABOUT YOU - Mō Koe

You are technically proficient, a great team player and always approach your work with a positive attitude.

To be successful, you will also have:

·  At least five years of relevant Mechanical and/or Maintenance technician experience in a Manufacturing environment.
·  At least a relevant trade certificate (in a relevant engineering field such as mechanical as Fitting and Machining, General Engineering, Machining (machine shop) or Maintenance Engineering)
·  Strong knowledge of Pneumatics, TIG welding, PLC and Computer literacy
·  Excellent fault-finding and communication skills
·  Ability to work and make decisions without close supervision
·  Good understanding of how software and electrical systems integrate within a manufacturing environment
