Job description
As the Senior Profitable Revenue Growth Manager, you will lead the Revenue Growth Management which consists with 5pillars (price, assortment, promotion, mix, and trade term) to maximize our company's profitability and revenue, ensuring execution across the company via our internal tools and processes.
PRGM will be involved and integrated in core business cycles, especially in upstream strategy development and planning (right pricing, right size, right channel) phase and deliver actionable insights and business recommendation by elevating up capability and skills.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITY
Deliver value to company by leading Revenue Growth Management (Portfolio Pricing, Assortment, Mix, Promo and Trade term)
Portfolio Price Management
- Define and recommend right pricing strategy and customer price
- Recommend pack-size and portfolio architecture by channel
- Build pricing scenarios to maximize business target delivery and actively influence decision-making process
- Manage implementation of price changes
Assortment Management
- Understand category, brand & channel strategy of Danone Japan
- Leverage OBPPC methodology and identify winning & opportunity playground in our portfolio
Mix management
- Identify better brand, intra brand, SKU mix to deliver top-line and bottom-line target
- Co-lead KPI and/or target for sales team with Channel Strategy & Planning team
- Track mix management KPI and reflect it into GPS
Promotions Management
- Manage promo investment budgeting, planning and accrual process
- Create and implement promotional guidelines to optimize promo spend across brands and channels
- Evaluate profitability of past promotions, and come up with improvement ideas
- Reflect promo effectiveness improvement impact into GPS
Trade terms management
- Define trade terms guidelines in line with RTM model, corporate general guidelines and legal requirements
- Review TTM control compliance and risks with Internal Controller
- Plan for Trade Term intervention to achieve high efficiency with minimizing complexity
CAPABILITY PROFILE – Required Background
Education background
• Possesses a degree in Business
Technical Skills and Experiences required
• Strong experience in FMCG pricing, promo and trade terms management
• Basic finance (P&L) knowledge in business is must
• Strong data analysis skills and able to synthesize conclusion from large data
• Consultancy experience is plus
• Native level spoken and written Japanese level with Business level spoken and written English
• Ability and power to challenge status quo, advanced influencing skills
• Ability to work under pressure and in multi-tasking environment to balance priorities

• Good understanding of products and distribution channels, knowledge regarding market (all FMCG), shoppers, customers, competitors and positioning against competition
• Strong understanding of cost structure (brands, formats) and levers to drive profitability
• Curious and proactive towards fact-finding and problem solving
• Hands-on approach to stakeholder management
• High level of flexibility and open-mindedness
