About the role..

We have an exciting opportunity for a Microbiology Method Development Analyst to join the Quality team in Liverpool. The role is responsible for ensuring that the Quality and Food Safety requirements for products are set and met by developing, implementing and continuously improving the laboratories systems and methods. You will be driving the implementation and ongoing validations and projects in QC department.

 

Main responsibilities:

·  Work in partnership Quality Management team to define and deliver the operational and strategic ambitions and plans of the department.
·  Assist implementation and sustain ongoing accreditation to ISO17025 including surveillance and re-accreditation audits
·  Accountable for the driving the core activities required from the laboratory team to deliver validations and projects on time.
·  Responsible for managing indirect reports responsible for Method Development projects to achieve the operational and strategic ambition of the department.
·  In partnership with the Quality Management team accountable for the departments core activities and KPI’s across the teams in line with the department’s strategies
·  Responsible for developing new methods, techniques,  processes, validations and verifications for analysis and reporting of all finished products, intermediates, raw material and ad hoc samples according to DANONE Medical standards and requirements.
·  Support Product Qualification team to create and maintain quality release specifications for all finished products and intermediate products and raw materials employing practical application of analytical science, release testing criteria and limits, and utilising LIMS system.
·  Involvement in investigations for example to determine root cause of out of specification results or non-conforming products.
·  Working in diverse cross functional teams to deliver business projects and continuous improvement for example active member and or leader in Innovation projects.
·  Plan and deliver own daily/weekly activities.
·  Identify and deliver longer term continuous improvement projects in line with team roadmap.
·  Management and implementation of CAPEX projects as assigned
·  Act as a technical manager providing advice, support to laboratory managers in relation to methods, equipment and technologies.
·  Support laboratories in external audits and assessments by accreditation authorities and regulatory bodies.
·  Perform internal audits on laboratories and methods to identify gaps and assist continuous improvements.

About you

What experience are we looking for:

 

·  English speaking
·  Knowledge of ISO17025 standard
·  Relevant academic qualifications/experience in Pharma or FMCG environment
·  Capable of working on multiple priorities and setting targets and timeframes
·  Project management skills
·  Adaptable enough to work in an environment that changes / challenges daily
·  Ability to work in a pressurised, heavily targeted and measured environment
