At Danone, manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire a Maintenance Purchaser/Planner based in Portland, OR!
The Maintenance Planner/Purchaser supports the maintenance department by procuring parts/services, managing parts inventory and working with the Reliability leader to plan maintenance work. This position works directly with the Maintenance Mechanics, Reliability Leader and the Maintenance Manager to ensure the necessary parts are available for both planned maintenance activities and emergency repairs, using the established CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) and purchasing systems to purchase spare parts and services, manage the spare parts inventory, and plan maintenance work.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
· You will research, locate, and procure parts both for replenishment of inventory and as requested by maintenance and other plant staff.
· You will work with vendors, suppliers and service providers.
· You will execute system generated Material Requirements Planning (MRP) replenishment orders as needed.
· You will receive, enter, and manage maintenance parts into inventory system.
· You will perform cycle counts and periodic inventory of storeroom and satellite storerooms.
· You will maintain receiving records and reconcile against purchase orders, for accurate financial reporting and timely payment of invoices.
· You will generate reports for plant staff.
· You will maintain excellent housekeeping in parts room, based on 5S principles.
· You will assist with maintaining excellent housekeeping of the maintenance shop and office.
· You will maintain CMMS data records and ensuring system integrity, including data input.
· You will maintaining technical library and its documentation, (OEM manuals - drawings - supplier catalogs)
· You will have interdepartmental collaboration, such as: provide inventory audits, forecast inventory needs, resolve inventory issues in a timely manner, invoice reconciliation.
· You will comply with the national, state, local building/mechanical/electrical codes; safety codes, OSHA regulations, fire codes, company’s and customer’s policies, procedures and standards
· You will continuously monitor PM performance with the Maintenance Reliability Leader to ensure preventative maintenance tasks are effective and completed
· You will ensure all equipment/machinery is entered into CMMS
· You will create and maintain machine bill of materials
· You will provide weekly/monthly work order cost analysis report to Maintenance Manager
· You will develop, implement and execute Predictive/Preventive maintenance procedures and plans
· You will manage maintenance costs through efficient use of resources, while staying within monthly, quarterly and annual operating budget
· You will apply reliability methodologies to drive enhanced asset performance
· You will analyze, identify, recommend, and implement solutions for reducing production downtime, and non-value-added activities
· You will maintain a safe and clean working environment for all employees and visitors.
· You will deliver on SQCDMN daily/weekly/monthly/yearly goals and objectives through individual and team efforts
· You will ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations (WISE) to ensure a safe working environment
· You will have a High School degree or equivalent required
· You will have 1-5 years experience purchasing, planning or manufacturing maintenance experience, required
· You will have previous maintenance experience, preferred
· You will have prior experience working with a CMMS system, preferred
· You will have previous purchasing experience, preferred
· You will have previous maintenance planning experience, preferred
