Job description
Your core activity exists of developing, controlling and optimizing the logistic processes within the site of Wevelgem with the purpose to meet the SQCDME targets by improving operational/performance efficiency in a warehouse environment, taking into account high quality standards and operating in a safe environment and will report in this function to the warehouse/logistics manager Wevelgem.
You will lead small, medium and large-scale projects to deliver the business needs using sound project management knowledge and tools. You will be involved in the project from concept proposal to budget, justification, and design phase through planning, risk analysis, resource identification, implementation and closing. You will coordinate and direct the activities of the necessary resources to ensure the safe, timely and successful completion of projects.
About the job
· Define KPI’s / monitor logistics operations (SQCDME) and drive optimization / continuous improvement program
· Has to be able to master / manage productivity-digital roadmap logistics Wevelgem to improve the efficiency of logistics operations, to make warehouses processes scalable, efficient (maximizing productivity, increasing uptime, ..), safe (improved worker ergonomics..) , accurate (fewer errors..), while optimizing usage of warehouse space and guaranteeing continuity during holidays/coping with peaks in a 24/7 base with focus on very labor intensive tasks, this in close collaboration with all relevant stakeholders in logistics and outside
· Able to make/defend business cases of logistic projects
· Being project lead of implementations of new processes/equipment , contributing with bringing new ideas by networking, working with different business stakeholders in the design/implementation phase incl stakeholder management, piloting , validation , upscaling), while managing /coordinating the resources of various departments
· Manage multiple projects to successful implementation (incl. hypercare/ transfer to the business) , meeting clear agreed deadlines

· Proven ability to delegate project tasks ensuring that key project initiatives/objectives, scope, budget and timelines are uninterrupted and met.
· Support warehouse operations manager in coaching/supporting teamleaders, warehouse operators in problem analysis and problem solving
· Support in organizing interface meetings with production, with TDA, with SC planning, with copacking, with customer service, while guaranteeing proximity management to the shop floor by open communication
· Support the warehouse operations manager by installing safety mindset, continuous improvement mindset and being the first helpdesk in terms of maintenance, systems on the shopfloor
· Responsible for continuously optimize standards, operating framework, instructions and training within the logistics environment of Wevelgem
· Make sure documentation and training is in place to bring new processes/equipment operational
· Coordinates the logistics budget exercise of Wevelgem in close collaboration with supply chain controlling
· Reporting of evolution of projects on a regular base
· Assist on master plan set-up logistics of Wevelgem in close collaboration with manufacturing
· Bachelor degree/major in engineering or science discipline with multiple years of experience in logistics
· Good knowledge of Dutch, French and English and has necessary Microsoft Office skills
· Be familiar/have experience with logistics/warehousing processes
· Can work independently and is skilled in communicating, managing, negotiating with different stakeholders in the plant.
· Can think out of the box in working out the productivity roadmap for the warehouse
· Have ability to make business cases and present it in an auto readable manner within the Danone methodology
· Has proven project mgt skills in leading, coordinating implementation track in placing new equipment and processes into operation is required , dealing with different opinions of all stakeholders , while having necessary conflict mgt skills
· Has right leadership , communication , presentation, coordination & convincing skills towards creating buy in of all relevant stakeholders, this in an environment with people under heavy workload
· Can work very independent and has continuous improvement mindset, identifying areas for improvement, developing solutions for optimization incl automation where applicable and implementing sustainable solutions
· Problem solving, collaboration skills
· You can rapidly assess, analyze, and quickly resolve complicated problems with little initial information or direction and with varying degrees of ambiguity.
· You can lead multiple projects simultaneously, to establish and adapt to changing priorities.
· Good SAP/systems knowledge
