Are you passionate about food safety, chemical risk assessment, and innovation? Are you an experienced toxicologist or chemical safety expert with a background in food science, biology, or pharmacology?
We have an exciting opportunity as Chemical Safety & Toxicologist Specialist within our global SRM (Scientific & Regulatory Management) team.
Our team's mission is to leverage scientific, regulatory & technical expertise to drive QFS (Quality & Food Safety) governance and compliance, delivering our promise to consumers and customers.
Within SRM team, the Chemical Safety department has more specific missions:
· Developing risk assessments and risk analysis tools/processes to support decision making and risk management in the areas of innovation and product/process design, product non-conformances (PNC) and crises
· Maintain state-of-the-art knowledge on risk assessment applied to food industry
· QFS Standards management and technical guidance development & associated training and learning
· New science/data generation through research agreements and collaborations
· Evaluating and deploying new technologies e.g. AI in chemical safety, New Approaches Methodologies, big data analysis, exposure assessment modelling
· Scientific and Regulatory Horizon Scanning activities, end-to-end business risk anticipation
· External engagement & advocacy About you
Job requirements:
· MSc or PhD degree in toxicology, food safety or related,
· 1-2 years of experience in toxicology and chemical risk assessment applied in industrial context,
· Hands on in silico and in vitro approaches for chemical hazard assessment,
· Affinity with solutions enabling migration modelling for packaging/food contact substances,
· More general understanding of food chemical contaminants prediction and deterministic/probabilistic dietary exposure modelling is a plus,
· Awareness of regulatory toxicology and food safety regulatory requirements,
· Board certification in Toxicology or on track to get certified (i.e., ERT) is a plus,
· Strong scientific writing skills, ability to interpret scientific data and contextualize it into clear business recommendations,
· Flexibility, proactive, autonomous, and with understanding of the Danone business (knowledge of product portfolio and production processes),
· Fluent in English (oral and written),
· Strong communication skills and ready to build network internally or externally.
