Job description
Provide category analysis and support to drive category growth with customers. Derive insights from category analyses that support Category Management Team and Sales Team in developing profitable and successful category and customer plans. Manage, analyze, and develop fact-based reporting tools to deliver concise category management recommendations and identify opportunities for category growth. Support customers with planogram building recommendations. This role must sit in our Rogers, AR office.
Key responsibilities
· Perform analyses and use data to drive category insights that help shape the category vision
· Collect and mine through market research and customer-based shopper insights and run correlation analysis to really understand which levers drive category growth at the customer(s)
· Perform competitive analysis by category to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges to core business areas
· Perform category and channel analysis for customer(s) to drive company and category growth period over period
· Discover and share category trends, fair share opportunity gaps, and share of wallet and leakage opportunities for customer(s)
· Create reports that include Customer market and rest of market performance, distribution grids, new product tracking, velocity reports, and pricing & promotion analysis
· Establish strong knowledge of the customer/category and the Danone North America product line to assist in strategic business calls
· Lead planogram development process and adjacency analysis
· Help drive customer overall category shelving strategy
· Build iterations (recommendation of most common POG) of customer-specific category planograms as aligned with customer and Category Manager
· Serve as an active member of the customer Category Management team
· Ensure that customers are using the newest/best class category management insights
· Provide sales personnel with the data to initiate/drive/optimize/fix the mix, shelving and assortment initiatives with customer
· Develop data tools and reporting suite by incorporating multiple data sources into reporting tools (Stratum, Market6, IRI POS, IRI Panel, etc)
· Provide best-practice insights back to Center of Excellence
· Contribute to a category center of excellence – using shopper insights and research to create category stories to influence customers to act (i.e., emerging category, PBB, own refrigerated) and communicate insights with center
· Share success stories as well as opportunities with Center of Excellence
Key performance metrics
· Category sales and sales growth (within customer)
· Category profitability and profit growth (within customer)
· Obtainment/strength of category captaincies at customer
· 4 year college degree in Business or related field (Finance, etc.)
· 1-3 years previous work experience
· Knowledge of syndicated or mass retailer data and space management preferred
· Expert in Excel to migrate multiple data sources into reporting tools
· Occasional travel required

The base compensation range for this position is $65,000-75,000commensurate with experience.
