Job description
Reporting to the Director of Raw & Pack (Materials), the Associate Manager, Materials Finance (Raw & Packaging) will be accountable for the end-to-end planning, reporting, and decision support for NORAM Cycles & Procurement (C&P). Cycles & Procurement consists of more than $1.4B in annual spend related to the procurement of raw materials. The incumbent will be responsible for providing sound, progressive and engaging leadership while contributing to the effective financial management of the teams. This role will be a strategic business partner to the Raws & Pack/Direct C&P Team (local) and DanTrade (global). This role can be based out of our Louisville, CO or White Plains, NY office.
Key Responsibilities:
· Ensure proper controls in place to create accurate financials for COGS through the monthly close process. This including GL account management of:
· Purchase Price Variance (PPV)
· Other Material Cost (OMC)
· Lead Rolling Forecast process for Raw & Packaging Materials. This includes working closely with Local Procurement, Global Procurement, and DanTrade Finance.
· Strong presentation skills to story tell forecast and actual results to financial, procurement, and BU leadership teams.
· Act as a Strategic Business to provide business insights & understanding of raw commodity market dynamics
· Influence the development and implementation of short, medium and long-term financial planning, reporting and monitoring systems, and ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic direction and protection of the company’s interests to mitigate risks
· Provide professional advice and objective financial analysis which enable decision makers to make timely and informed business decisions, ensuring that opportunities and risks are fully considered and that decisions are aligned with the overall financial strategies
· Partner with key members of the Supply Chain leadership team to influence most optimal end to end network decision making
· Cultivate company culture, employee engagement, productivity and passion
· You have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field
· You have 2-4 years progressive Finance experience
· You are a motivated self-learner who enjoys the challenges of understanding new and complex environments
· You are an exceptionally strong user of Microsoft Office (specifically Excel & PowerPoint). You must be comfortable navigating, auditing, & manipulating large data sets quickly
· You ideally have experience in a CPG, Food Service, or Food Manufacturing companies
· You should have experience partnering with cross-functional teams to develop engaging, analytical, & storytelling capabilities
· You have excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing capabilities
· You have strong analytical, quantitative and reasoning abilities to connect data to business drivers
· You possess high organizational agility with strong ability to navigate ambiguity
The base compensation range for this position is $95k-115k commensurate with experience.
