Job description
The Local Fragrance & Beauty Export & Travel Retail Area Management teams reinforce the Brand equity, enhance the Brand image and develop area sales through a network of distributors and travel retail operators.
Operating across two channels, The Local F&B Export & Travel Retail Area Management teams stay flexible and agile across both modes of distribution: Travel Retail encompasses all CHANEL retail that is only accessible to clients holding a travel ticket, while in Local Markets without a subsidiary in place, CHANEL partners with a distributor whose role is to be an intermediary and to relay the strategy of CHANEL to the local market and be responsible for operational implementation.

We contribute to brand performance by ensuring distributors and travel retailers prioritise visibility of CHANEL F&B and respect the House’s brand image guidelines.
We contribute to client engagement by leading and managing a community of Beauty Advisors and sales managers responsible for delivering a client journey that delights and inspires.
YOU ARE ENERGIZED BY
Acting as a brand ambassador for CHANEL F&B by representing the creative and commercial interests of the House to the distribution and travel retail network.
· Developing and implementing the area strategy
· Sharing this strategy with distributors and retailers for Africa
· Negotiating trade agreements with the operators, including back margin, product placement, staff and animations
· Negotiating trade agreements with distributors
· Setting up and ensuring the follow-up of marketing and media plans adapted to airports and to local markets
· Developing the watches activity of CHANEL within the area
Galvanising sales growth and encouraging distributors and travel retailers to grow their CHANEL F&B business.
· Ensuring that resources are allocated in line with strategy
· Creating and managing the area’s budget by client and by distributor, including sales revenue, cost structure, operating profit and forecast
· Being responsible for the achievement of sales and profit targets
Developing leadership people strength across the sales and administration teams and sales managers.
· Ensuring that the team understands and deploys the House strategy
· Coaching the team to bring them to a high level of expertise and client experience
· Leading the team to foster collaboration
· Federating and motivating the team towards the achievement of objectives
· Being strongly involved in the department’s activities and collective gatherings, including seminars, training, conventions and travel
Ensuring the excellence of CHANEL’s Fragrance & Beauty Client Experience.
· Framing, motivating and coordinating the activity of the Beauty Advisors, supervisors, brand-managers and local sales staff, with a strong presence on the field.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
· Graduated from a Business School or equivalent, you have a significant professional experience in a similar function : export or sales department.
· Entrepreneur and Innovative, you have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Assets to be successful in this job include to be results oriented, with strong negotiation skills , the ability to lead a team and strong analytics skills
· Fluent English proficiency is a must. French fluent proficiency would be highly appreciated.
