Senior Finance Manager – Financial Accounting and Reporting

Job description
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to Senior Finance Manager – Financial Accounting & Reporting, Asia Pacific with a matrix reporting line to the Market CFO. The key responsibility of this roles is to:
Financial Accounting & Reporting related
• Ensure timely delivery of financial statement and be accountable for local financial book quality, ensure accuracy and compliance for all financial numbers’ submission to local/regional/global and external parties (e.g. external auditors, local authorities) and equip with local market accounting and tax knowledge in order to ensure the statutory accounting requirements are properly followed;
• Ensure accounting and financial related control activities are properly in place (including AP, AR, and GLs), which also cover but not limited to plan and perform local stock counts, cycle count reviews, physical fixed asset review & disposal of assets as long as to ensure a proper Segregation of Duties in the way of working among the Finance Business Services team members;
• Create an on-going accounting and operation process efficiency improvement culture and provide exceptional best service to the market management team;
• Liaise with external auditor and tax consultant (e.g. financial audit & sales audit) and ensure meeting local statutory requirements including preparation of audit planning, financial data and explanations, as well as managing closing meeting with the market CFO;
• Build a one team culture in accounting, financial reporting of the local market and proactively highlight and resolve any local coordination barrier within Finance Business Service team and other stakeholders related to financial accounting & reporting areas with the Market CFO;
• Be responsible to handle local specific procedures to comply with local regulatory requirements;
• Be the first contact point with local business, regional & global enquiry about the actual financial data/reports, as well as be a proactive partner with local business finance to drive collaboration and play a critical role to build and support a one finance team environment in the market.
Tax related
• Equip with strong knowledge and expertise on local tax and to be the first contact point from the local tax authority for any tax enquiry with the help of Tax CoE and local tax consultants to support market CFO in solving issues
• Liaise with external service providers (e.g. VAT service provider, local tax advisor, etc.) and internal team members for annual tax review/audit, and any other tax related topics and problem solving;
• Work closely with Tax CoE for creating CIT calculation and submission template
• Prepare and submit CIT, VAT, WHT and TP calculation include handling tax treatment exceptions;
Treasury related
• Liaise with banks/merchants for various operation support
• Prepare dividend payment (if any)
Others
• Be the lead of local market Finance Business Services (FBS) to manage FBS team members sitting in the market and work closely with Market CFO and region to drive one finance team spirit together;
• Lead and drive other projects/assignments that can help the financial health of business (e.g. aged PO follow up, Coupa/Concur training by leveraging other Finance Business Services team members in the markets / region as well as super users and IP in the market); )
• Manage credit limit and stock release approval
• Managing CSR and TVT reporting and ensure timely reporting in global system
• Prepare varies license application (if any)
• Staff benefit related tasks. Track of staff purchase, dressing allowance and follow up with the users if necessary
• Other related accounting and reporting activities that may be seemed as a gap that needs to be addressed locally
• Ensure proper monthly and quarterly reporting and financial statements are presented with insight to the market CFO
