Your future duties and responsibilities:

As a Technical Development Consultant you will play an active role on CGI client projects. You will leverage your technical development and business analysis skills in traditional and agile development environments to provide services in our key client teams in one or more areas, including Quality Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Java Development, Data Analytics, Process Automation, Cyber Security, and Cloud Services

You will learn about CGI’s business, apply your skills and knowledge to solve problems and design solutions for CGI and our global brand-name clients. You will learn about the IT Consulting Business and the many aspects of Digital technology and transformation and gain exposure to the many career opportunities in technology consulting available right here in Atlantic Canada with CGI.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

- Currently completing a Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline and eligible to complete a co-op work term as part of your studies.
- Strong technical aptitude with experience in software development and testing methodologies
- Experience with Agile development and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Proven problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic proficiency with MS Office 365 Suite
- Knowledge of cloud services such as AWS and Azure
- Knowledge of computer, system, and network security fundamentals
- Knowledge of business analysis fundamentals
- Knowledge of data analysis fundamentals
- Proficiency in APIs and microservices
- Programming skills in Java and Python
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and DevOps pipelines
- Strong understanding of full-stack development
- Strong understanding of testing concepts, test planning, and execution
- Experience with development leveraging Generative AI tools

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $25-32/hour. This role is an existing vacancy.
