Position Description:
CGI Federal is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Test Engineer to support a Department of Defense (DoD) client in Huntsville, AL. The selected individual will provide test and evaluation engineering support to meet client requirements for an Army hypersonic rocket and missile program.
This position is located in Huntsville, AL.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret developmental tests for new and/or modified products or product components.
Investigate and resolve operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel.
Provide technical support and advice to other engineering groups.
Devise and apply testing procedures for parts or sub-assemblies received from outside vendors.
Participate in the development, maintenance, and refinement of internal quality control and reliability programs.
Support hardware and software development tests, systems integration and interoperability tests, performance analysis, live fire, and field tests.
Develop test plans, procedures, and reports for rocket and missile launcher and munitions programs, Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers, the end user community, other Government agencies, and depot facilities.
Assist in the Integrated Product Team (IPT) process to support resolution of software interoperability problems.
Make recommendations regarding the reasonableness of hardware and software design modifications.
Recommend design changes that will improve system integration and interoperability performance.
Monitor system development and maturity.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
3+ years of experience in test engineering or a related field.
BA/BS or MA/MS degree in a relevant discipline.
Strong knowledge of test and evaluation engineering principles.
Experience with hardware and software development tests, systems integration, and interoperability tests.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with engineering and technical personnel.
Ability to work independently and perform all functional duties at a Journeyman labor category level.
Familiarity with DoD test and evaluation processes and requirements.
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
Experience supporting Army or other DoD programs.
Knowledge of hypersonic weapons systems.
Experience with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs.
Familiarity with Integrated Product Team (IPT) processes

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $99,200.00 - $195,200.00.
