Position Description

This role sits within the Scottish Solution Architecture & Sales team, part of our Global Technology Operations (GTO) business.

Your future duties and responsibilities
You’ll be working with our Scottish local authority clients, their architects and building contractors to design, plan and implement innovative technology solutions for new buildings and schools across Scotland. You will be the technology expert engaged in the full building lifecycle from budget setting through visioning and design to build and commissioning.
With the support of the solutions director you will build lasting relationships with our clients and act as their main point of contact in engaging our team of technology and service specialists to provide deliverable and repeatable innovation.
Highly mobile, you can expect a varied week visiting users, meeting clients and architects across central Scotland, and working with our global technology partners.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Typically degree qualified, you will possess excellent relationship building skills and an active interest in current and future trends in end user technology and networking ideally within the construction and/or education industries.
You should demonstrate a desire to take up a long-term career in the role and become an integral part of embedding user-focused technology in buildings and schools across Scotland.

Experience and/or qualifications in some of the following would be desirable:
• Apple Technologies – iOS, tvOS, MacOS
• Desktop Technologies – Windows, Linux, VDI
• Audio Visual Technologies – Video Conferencing, Projection and display, smartboards
• Networking Technologies (WAN, LAN & WiFi) – Cisco, HP, Aruba, Juniper
