Position Description:
CGI is seeking a Technical Director, with a focus in software solutions architecture and Agile/DevOps environments, to be part of a large, diverse, and growing Business Unit within the Federal Civilian Government IT consulting market. The Business Unit includes accounts focused on Department of Justice, Department of Homeland Security, the Legislative branch, the Judicial branch, and others. The work encompasses business consulting, application development and maintenance including in Agile environments, IT operations/DevOps, business process services, and ERP implementation and support. The person filling this role will be part of the Business Unit level business engineering / capture organization and will provide technical expertise in support of the account teams. As the CGI Momentum Technical Director, you will oversee the technical aspects of CGI Momentum projects, ensuring the successful delivery of solutions that meet client needs and organizational goals. You will provide leadership and guidance to technical teams, leveraging your expertise in CGI Momentum to drive innovation and excellence in project execution. Responsible for evaluating opportunities for organic and new business growth, driving and supporting solution development for opportunities, and working with other CGI Federal technical and solution experts to coordinate, refine and tailor innovative solutions. Targeted growth in cloud and AI based solutions to support internal and external initiatives. Responsible for writing RFI responses, leading and contributing to proposal technical responses, developing white papers, and participating in client VIP meetings. Your future duties and responsibilities:
This position supports the NSJ programs Business Unit (BU) within CGI Federal. The Technical Director position provides a depth and breadth of knowledge in all areas of IT with the most in depth in software solutions architecture, application development and maintenance/operations, and application modernization, with a focus in Agile/DevOps/AI methodologies and tools. Other areas of focus may include data analytics and architecture, cloud services, ITSM, AI, and cyber security. Responsibilities include conducting technical reviews of IT opportunities in the BU pipeline, draft/lead technical content for RFIs/RFPs, provide briefing and other materials to be presented at both internal and client meetings, and prepare and deliver detailed documentation for executive level meetings. Act as the primary BU interface to the CGI Federal Emerging Technologies Practice (ETP) for identifying required expertise. Specific responsibilities may include:
. Provide technical leadership for responses to RFIs, RFPs, and customer briefings. Review and respond to RFPs and RFIs as an individual or as part of a proposal team.
. Provide expert support, analysis and research into complex problems and processes relating to technical subject matter. Review stakeholder requests and research other topics as required, and provide assessments and recommendations based on knowledge of current and emerging technologies and best business practices.
. Review briefing and other materials to be presented, and prepare detailed documentation. Serve as a technical expert on BU growth opportunities providing technical direction, interpretation and alternatives.
. Think independently and demonstrate exceptional written and oral communications skills. Apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts. Contribute to the development of new principles and concepts.
. Provide expert guidance, recommendation, and education with regard to assessing the client environment system and technology posture.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
- Experience in capture, solution development and/or IT project delivery to Federal Government clients
- Experience with Momentum Technology stack
- Experience with CSP platforms AWS and Microsoft Azure
- Experience with Redhat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP)
- Experience with Jenkins, Github, Gitlab, and python
- Experience in developing solutions and delivering in Agile and DevOps environments
- Proven ability to work in a team environment with the ability to drive key client communication and expectations
- Ability to work independently and lead projects end to end
- Strong oral and written communication, leadership and presentation skills
- Ability to work under time constraints and produce deliverables in a timely manner
- Analytical skills to propose and evaluate alternative technical solutions
- Ability to work across functional areas in resolving specific process issues
- Experience understanding and documenting technical requirements
- Experience engaging clients to determine requirements, understand business functionality, and support functions in client facing meetings
- Ability to foster positive business relationships
- Advanced skills in use of MS Visio, Word, Excel and PowerPoint as tools to effectively document work effort
- Agile certification a plus (e.g., SAFe, CSM, or PMI-ACP)
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $100,800.00 - $245,500.00.
