This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto (250 Yonge St, Toronto) and/or Client office at a minimum 2 days per week - subject to change at any time.
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced and forward-thinking QE Automation Specialist – Gen AI Enabler with 14–16 years of experience in Quality Engineering and Automation. This role is ideal for a senior professional passionate about driving innovation through Generative AI and transforming traditional QA practices into intelligent, scalable, and efficient testing frameworks.
As a QE Lead, you will be responsible for leading automation strategy across complex applications, implementing Gen AI–driven testing solutions, and integrating AI tools into CI/CD pipelines. You will also mentor QA teams and champion best practices in AI-enabled testing and metrics-driven quality engineering.
This is a strategic and hands-on role offering the opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI technologies, contribute to enterprise-level transformation initiatives, and shape the future of intelligent quality engineering.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
. Lead the design and implementation of automation strategies and frameworks across complex enterprise applications, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
. Implement Generative AI–driven testing solutions to enhance test coverage, accelerate test creation, and optimize defect prediction and triage.
. Integrate AI-based tools into CI/CD pipelines to enable smarter regression, performance, and exploratory testing.
. Collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps teams to align testing strategies with delivery goals and ensure high-quality releases.
. Mentor and guide QA teams on automation best practices, AI-enabled testing methodologies, and metrics-driven quality engineering.
. Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and drive innovation in testing processes and tools.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Required Skillset (14–16 Years of Experience):
. Automation Strategy & Framework Design (14+ years):
Extensive experience leading automation initiatives across complex applications. Skilled in designing scalable and maintainable test automation frameworks.
. Gen AI–Driven Testing Implementation (3+ years):
Hands-on experience implementing Generative AI solutions to improve test coverage, accelerate test creation, and enhance defect prediction and triage.
. AI Integration in CI/CD Pipelines (8+ years):
Proven ability to integrate AI-based tools into CI/CD workflows for smarter regression, performance, and exploratory testing.
. Quality Engineering Leadership (10+ years):
Strong experience mentoring QA teams on automation best practices, AI-enabled testing approaches, and metrics-driven quality engineering.
. Continuous Improvement & Innovation (10+ years):
Demonstrated success in driving continuous improvement by adopting emerging technologies and optimizing testing processes.
. Cross-Functional Collaboration (10+ years):
Ability to work effectively with development, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to align testing strategies with business objectives.
