Service Desk Technician- Tier 2

Position Description
Tier 2 Technician

The Service Desk Tier 2 technician is a skilled desktop support analyst that is the second layer of technical support and will go desk side as part of the incident and request fulfillment processes. Specific duties include:

• Troubleshoots desktop, application, and network issues for user community at desk side

• Creates solutions for Service Desk Knowledge Base as a way to increase efficiencies

• Supports remote users by traveling onsite if required to provide technical support
• Provides desk side support during program operations
Essential Skills:
Desktop/laptop OS support for Windows 7 & 10.

Desktop/laptop hardware configuration and repair.

Printer/Copier hardware configuration and repair.

Basic network connectivity and troubleshooting

Good communication & customer service skillsNon Essential Skills:
A+ Certification, Microsoft Desktop Support Professional or similar
Hardware/Software Packages:
esktop, laptop and tablet PC support.

MS Windows 7 Professional/Enterprise

MS Office 2013 Professional

Adobe Acrobat 9 and later

Nuance Communications Paperport
