Position Description:
This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto and/or Client office at a minimum 2 days per week - subject to change at any time.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative Senior QA Automation Analyst (SDET) to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our applications by designing robust test strategies and building scalable automation solutions.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Test Strategy & Planning
• Define and implement comprehensive test strategies aligned with business and technical requirements
• Develop and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test data
Automation Development & Maintenance
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for UI and API testing
• Enhance and optimize automation frameworks to ensure scalability and efficiency
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
Quality Engineering & Analysis
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and product teams to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle
• Provide actionable insights during solution design to improve testability and quality
• Identify, document, and track defects and risks
API & Data Validation
• Perform testing of RESTful APIs using JSON schemas and validation techniques
• Ensure data integrity across systems
Continuous Improvement
• Contribute to QA best practices, standards, and process improvements
• Advocate for a “shift-left” approach to quality engineering
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Proven experience in QA automation / Software Development in Test (SDET)
• Strong hands-on expertise with:
o Selenium WebDriver
o JUnit and/or TestNG
o REST API testing
o JSON and schema validation
• Proficiency in Java or similar object-oriented programming languages
• Experience with test automation frameworks and CI/CD tools
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and Agile practices
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Nice-to-Have
• Experience in the mutual fund, wealth management, or financial services industry
• Exposure to performance testing or security testing
• Familiarity with BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber)

The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80,000–$130,000. This role is an existing vacancy."
