Education Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or higher with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
We are looking for an experienced Senior ETL Developer to lead a critical data platform modernization project. You will be responsible for the assessment and documentation of existing Informatica workflows, mappings, and data integration processes in preparation for a strategic migration from Informatica to Azure Databricks. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Informatica PowerCenter, strong analytical skills to understand complex ETL logic, and the ability to produce detailed documentation to support cloud migration efforts..
Responsibilities:
. Analyze and reverse-engineer existing Informatica workflows, mappings, sessions, and dependencies.
. Assess the complexity, design patterns, and data flow logic of current ETL processes.
. Document ETL logic, data transformations, source/target systems, and business rules in a structured format.
. Export and catalog Informatica assets for migration planning.
. Collaborate with cloud architects and data engineers to define migration strategy to Azure Databricks.
. Identify reusable components and opportunities for optimization in the target architecture.
. Provide technical leadership and guidance to migration teams.
. Participate in migration planning, estimation, and risk assessment.
. Ensure documentation is comprehensive, accurate, and aligned with enterprise standards.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Must-Have Skills:
. Proven experience in analyzing and documenting complex ETL workflows.
. Strong SQL and data profiling skills.
. Hands-on experience with the Azure ecosystem, especially Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Delta Lake.
. Proven experience in cloud migration projects, specifically from Informatica to an Azure-based platform.
. Proficiency in Python or PySpark for Databricks development.
. Experience in data warehousing and data modeling concepts.
. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
. Ability to work independently and lead technical discussions. Experience in cloud migration projects (Informatica to Azure).
Good-to-Have Skills:
. Informatica and Azure certifications.
. Exposure to Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
. Knowledge of Python or PySpark for Databricks development.
