SAP B1 Functional Consultant

Position Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented SAP Business One (B1) Functional Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be a key resource for supporting and enhancing our SAP B1 system. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of core business processes and how they are managed within SAP B1. Your primary focus will be on providing ongoing support to our users, troubleshooting system issues, and working with business stakeholders to optimize system functionality and improve operational efficiency.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Your main responsibilities as Consultant – Service Consultant are, but not limited to, the following:

. Serve as the first point of contact for end-user support, addressing questions and troubleshooting issues related to the SAP B1 system.
. Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve SAP B1 functional-related production issues in a timely and efficient manner.
. Handle and guide users through critical system adjustments, including correcting journal entries, managing financial adjustments, and resolving transaction errors.
. Assist end-users with "how-to" questions, provide functional guidance, and create documentation or knowledge base articles to reduce recurring support tickets. Provide training to new and existing users to ensure they can effectively utilize the SAP B1 system, as needed.
. Log, track, and manage support tickets through resolution, ensuring adherence to established SLAs.
. Work closely with technical teams, developers, and senior consultants to escalate and resolve complex system issues or bugs.
. Analyze and document business processes and user requirements to identify opportunities for system improvements and optimizations.
. Assist in the configuration and maintenance of SAP B1 modules to meet evolving business needs.
. Test system changes, updates, and new configurations to ensure they function correctly and do not disrupt business operations.
. Develop and maintain system documentation, user guides, and training materials.
. Collaborate with business departments to understand their reporting needs and assist in the creation of custom reports using tools like Crystal Reports and SQL.
. Help ensure data integrity within the SAP B1 system by performing regular checks and assisting with data cleanup tasks.

All CGI partners may be required to perform duties outside of their normal duties from time to time, as necessary.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Skills, Knowledge and Capabilities

. Proven experience working with and supporting an SAP Business One production environment. Preferably 2-4 years of experience.
. Strong knowledge of core SAP B1 modules (e.g., Finance, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory).
. Familiarity with SQL and/or Crystal Reports for data analysis and reporting is highly desirable.
. SAP B1 Certification is a plus but not required.
. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and service-oriented approach to user support.
. Ability to document processes and create clear, user-friendly materials.
. A proactive and inquisitive mindset with a passion for learning and problem-solving.
. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
. Strong customer-facing skills and a commitment to providing excellent user support.
. An eagerness to stay updated with SAP B1 features and industry best practices Education
. Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
