Position Description:

We are looking for a high-impact Senior Consultant, Operations Management to join our Chicago Business Unit Operations team and support the success of a growing, flagship Business Unit spanning Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan, Kentucky, and western Ohio.

This is not a traditional operations role. This is a launchpad. It is an opportunity for someone who is hungry to learn, eager to prove themselves, and determined to grow into an operations leader within CGI. Reporting directly to the Business Unit Operations Leader, you will be embedded at the center of how the business runs, supporting leadership, driving execution, and delivering visible, measurable contributions to the performance of the Business Unit across a multi-state region.

You will operate at both the Business Unit and Metro level, gaining broad exposure to all aspects of the business while helping establish the operational foundation of a new and rapidly expanding Business Unit. The experience and relationships you build in this role will directly position you for future operations leadership opportunities within CGI. If you are someone who does not settle, who sees every assignment as a chance to show what you are capable of, and who wants to grow into a leader, this role was built for you.

We are seeking candidates local to Chicago, Illinois who are willing to work on-site hybrid.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Support operational governance across the Business Unit to ensure alignment, consistency, and efficiency
• Assist in establishing and continuously improving operational processes, policies, and tracking mechanisms
• Monitor compliance across key operational expectations and flag issues proactively
• Coordinate executive-level meeting governance including cadence, agendas, materials, and follow-ups

Business Planning & Strategic Programs
• Actively contribute to key planning cycles including but not limited to Local Operations, Global Operations, Business Planning, and other corporate programs
• Develop high-quality executive reporting, dashboards, and presentations aligned with corporate standards
• Translate data into clear insights that support decision-making and business priorities
• Help maintain strong planning rhythms and visibility into business unit performance in close partnership with leadership

Project & Program Support

• Assist in developing and implementing change management approaches to ensure successful adoption and minimal disruption
• Help ensure alignment of initiatives with broader business goals and strategic priorities

Operational Efficiency & Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve reporting accuracy, and reduce friction in day-to-day execution
• Build and maintain tools, templates, and playbooks that support operational consistency and scalability
• Drive accountability through structured tracking, follow-ups, and proactive issue resolution

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
• Serve as a connector across business functions, supporting alignment and clarity across stakeholders
• Build trusted working relationships with business unit leadership, corporate teams, and cross-functional partners
• Respond to ad hoc strategic requests and provide timely, well-organized insights to senior leaders

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 3 - 6 years of experience in operations, business management, or cross-functional project/program coordination
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint)
• Hands-on experience supporting business planning, operational reporting, or governance activities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare executive-ready materials
• Experience or strong interest in leveraging AI and automation tools to enhance business processes, reporting, and decision-making

Preferred Qualifications

• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a consistent commitment to accuracy and quality
• Strong analytical thinker who can turn data into clear, actionable insights
• Proactive problem solver who asks the right questions and digs into the details
• Comfortable managing parallel workstreams and shifting priorities
• Collaborative by nature, able to build trust and influence across all levels without formal authority
• Ambitious and growth-oriented, with a genuine desire to develop into an operations leader within CGI
• Sees every task, no matter the size, as an opportunity to add value and demonstrate capability
• Hungry, self-motivated, and not afraid to raise the bar for themselves and those around them
