Position Description:
CGI Federal is seeking a Supply Clerk to support the day-to-day supply operations essential to the readiness and sustainment of a Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) program to support the US Army. This role is responsible for issuing, receiving, tracking, and maintaining tools, equipment, and materials. The Supply Clerk ensures accurate inventory control, proper tool calibration status, timely ordering and replenishment of stock items, and adherence to safety and accountability standards. The position is critical for maintaining the smooth flow of materials needed to support maintenance, production, engineering, and logistics activities.
This position is located in our Huntsville, AL office with work performed at client site in Aberdeen, MD.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Tool & Equipment Management
. Issue tools and equipment to authorized personnel
. Inspect returned tools to ensure cleanliness, functionality, and serviceability
. Maintain calibration status records for special tools and equipment
. Track recoverable items to ensure accountability and timely return
Inventory & Stock Control
. Maintain inventories of tools, equipment, parts, and supplies
. Keep supply areas stocked with operationally required materials
. Turn in excess or unserviceable equipment and maintain required disposal documentation
. Document and ship warranty repair items as needed
Material Handling & Warehouse Support
. Receive, inspect, and process incoming parts, materials, and equipment
. Ship outgoing materials following proper documentation and handling requirements
. Perform pickups, deliveries, and turn-ins of parts and requisitions
. Maintain safety and cleanliness across supply storage and work areas
Ordering & Requisition Support
. Order parts, materials, and equipment for stock, maintenance, and project needs
. Ensure stock levels meet operational requirements and prevent shortages
. Prepare requisitions, verify documentation, and track order status
Records Management & Documentation
. Maintain detailed supply records, logs, and tracking documentation
. Support audits, inspections, and inventory accuracy checks
. Document all material movement, turn-ins, warranty shipments, and tool calibrations
Customer Service & Coordination
. Support production, maintenance, and logistics teams in fulfilling material requests
. Communicate stock availability, shortages, and order status updates
. Provide responsive and accurate customer support to internal program users
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Education
. High School Diploma or GED equivalent
. Substitution option:
– One academic year at a technical school or in an accredited logistics or supply chain management program may substitute for one year of experience
Experience
. 2+ years of experience in supply, warehouse operations, tool room management, or material handling
. Experience with issuing, receiving, or tracking tools/materials in an operational or industrial environment
Technical Skills
. Basic understanding of inventory control, material handling, and supply procedures
. Ability to track tools, maintain calibration records, and manage equipment accountability
. Familiarity with shipping/receiving tasks and basic documentation processes
Work Style & Core Abilities
. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping
. Ability to lift, move, and handle various materials and equipment safely
. Good communication and customer service skills
. Ability to work in fast-paced operational environments and prioritize multiple tasks
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
Advanced Supply or Logistics Knowledge
. Experience supporting Defense supply operations or maintenance environments
. Familiarity with tool control programs, calibration management, or government supply systems
Systems & Tools Experience
. Experience with inventory management software or supply tracking tools
. Proficiency with barcode scanners, labeling systems, or electronic log systems
Certifications
. Forklift or material handling certification
. OSHA safety training or similar workplace safety credentials
Additional Skills
. Ability to assist with supply audits, cycle counts, or stock inspections
. Experience developing or improving supply workflows or stockroom organization practices
. Strong organization skills for maintaining clean, compliant storage areas
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $46,900.00 - $85,100.00.
