Netcool Developer

Position Description
CGI is looking for an Intermediate level Netcool developer, with demonstrated ability, to work as an Analyst/Developer on an IBM Tivoli Netcool platform. The selected candidate will work in an Agile Scrum team in a client facing delivery model.

Your future duties and responsibilities
You will analyze client needs, provide input to design, develop code both in Netcool language and in java, javascript and bash scripting, perform unit and integration testing, support client testing and participate in deployment activities. Additional activities include providing input to required documentation at each sprint and as well with testers on testing scenarios.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related fields
• At least 3 yrs development experience with Netcool product
• Experience with shell scripting in a Linux or Unix environment
• Basic knowledge of java development
• Interest in learning new technologies
• Be passionate about continuous improvements
• Knowledge of UDeploy, Jenkins, Jira an asset
• Knowledge of telecom operator networks & business environments as asset
• Isn’t afraid to tackle challenges
• Creative and can suggest new solutions
• Interested to learning new things every day
• Works well with a team and is able to give and receive feedback freely
