The Industry Marketing Manager within the Public Sector, Healthcare and Energy team is responsible for developing and executing the go-to-market strategy and campaigns for CGI's utilities sector as well as supporting all marketing aspects for the team's industries with a focus and passion for gathering intelligence and turning them into actionable insights for our team and clients.
This all-encompassing role will see you work with multi-disciplinary marketing & communications teams, industry experts from around the world and senior business development leaders. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to showcase their passion for marketing combined with an ambitious entrepreneurial spirit and an affinity to deliver high quality work.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Executing the go-to-market strategy for Energy (Utilities and Oil + Gas) in Canada in collaboration with key industry experts and stakeholders in Canadian business units, global teams, and our marketing and communications teams
• Continuously refining the vision, overall story and go-to-market strategies aligned with market needs, competitive environment and CGI global and Canadian priorities through industry councils and ad hoc collaboration sessions
• Regularly scanning the market – clients and competitors – to glean insights for CGI’s business, with mature analysis + intelligence development skills for all the industries we support (Public Sector, Health, and Energy)
• Significantly contributing to the strategic planning cycle by developing industry landscape outlooks, identifying key trends and highlighting CGI services and solutions that meet the current needs of the market
• Gain an intimate understanding of CGI’s data systems (Microsoft Dynamics, Tableau) to support the creation of external materials as well as cyclical internal reporting. You will have the lead role for Intelligence for all industries on our team.
• Working in collaboration with the external Communications team to develop and execute effective external MarCom plans that built our brand and differentiates CGI from competitors to attract clients
• Working with the internal communications team to develop and execute efficient internal MarCom plans that raise business developer community awareness and understanding of CGI’s abilities to address our clients challenges and needs, and drive consistency in our messaging to market
• Collaborating with horizontal (AI, Business Consulting, Cyber, Data Analytics, Cloud, Partners etc.) marketing leads to highlight these areas of expertise within the industry context as well as collaborating with other industry verticals on cross-industry initiatives
• Curating an internal database of business enablement assets (Case Studies, Brochures, Service Descriptions, Battle Cards) and playing a significant role in the conceptualization, development and execution of executive client presentations
• Enabling sales through the development and execution of marketing programs with tailored marketing mix that marry ’pull’ and ‘push’ tactics
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Min 10 years’ experience in a marketing function, preferably with Industry Marketing expertise in a vertical industry context, technology services, technology product or a consulting services organization
• Deep understanding or interest in the Canadian utilities market and the needs of our client base or a demonstrated aptitude to learn quickly
• Demonstrated experience in using marketing to bring new services / products to market and drive pipeline and sales growth
• A strong record of getting-things-done and ability to manage numerous concurrent initiatives in a highly dynamic environment, often with short deadlines
• A go-getter attitude and a constant look to keep moving when things are stalled
• Ability to work in a virtual team
• Excellent command of PPT (and other media software), Excel, CRM tools, and internal data/analysis tools to build intelligence + reports for your industry sectors and client accounts
• Well-developed writing and storytelling skills
• Mature communication and interpersonal skills
• Creative thinker and proactive problem solver
• We are open to candidates who are located near any CGI office, including Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal.
