Business Intelligence and Web Developer
Position Description
Join a dynamic team that supports mission critical applications for policy-making components of a large government agency that provide accurate and relevant information which enables agency leaders and policy-makers to make decisions that will help impacted beneficiaries.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Provide comprehensive software engineering and lifecycle support for maintaining and enhancing a Management Information (MI) suite of tools to include: reporting tools, web-based applications and data repositories.
The qualified resource will perform the following activities:
Assist with the entire lifecycle for implementation of software and databases including:
• Review, document, develop, modify, tune, test, and validate software specifications
• Assist with systems research and data analysis
• Document data files
• Design, develop, modify, upgrade, tune, and validate management information reports
• Develop and support .NET web applications
• Extract and load large amounts of programmatic data
Provide Business Intelligence solutions
Travel to regional offices and corporate sites for work-related activities may be required.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• A Master’s degree plus 3-6 years of experience is required.
• ASP.NET; C#
• Extraction, Transformation, and Load (ETL); Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) cubes
• DB2, SQL Server
• Telerik; Team Foundation Server (TFS);
• Behavior Driven Development (BDD) /Test Driven Development (TDD),
• Section 508 Compliance;
• SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Analytic Services (SSAS)
• Agile / Scrum Methodology
• Systems Analysis and Design
Desired Qualifications:
• Knowledge of SSA Disability Program
• Knowledge of SSA Management Information applications including:
o Policy Feedback System (PFS);
o Electronic Request for Policy Consultation System (RPC);
o Informal Resolution Request (IRR);
o DDS Performance Management Reporting System (PMR);
o Disability Research File Reporting System (DRFRS)
• Knowledge of the Electronic Government (eGov) component of the President’s Management Agenda
