Position Description:

Your future duties and responsibilities:
Working as part of a collaborative team, which is led by a Project Manager, and includes other
Functional, or Business Analyst(s), Developer(s), and Solution Architect(s), the successful Functional Analyst will work with limited to moderate supervision to understand the business needs, and the limits of the current service to help design solutions, enhancements and processes that will increase efficiency, automate processes, meet legislative requirements, add value, and solve the business problem.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Provide estimates for their own work assignments.
• Work closely with the business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to define and document functional designs and configuration specifications.
• Be responsible for designing and testing moderately complex components of the Case and/or Grant Management solution.
• Prepare and execute test plans to ensure the system works as designed.
• Support User Acceptance Testing to ensure the system meets the business requirements.
• Contribute to defining user guides and end user training materials.
• Contribute to implementation planning and the cutover to production.
• Has significant experience with system delivery life cycle methodologies.
• Strong communication and consulting skills.
Other expertise:
• Will be able to design modern and innovative digital applications.
• Good verbal and written skills in English and French.
• Will have basic understanding of relational databases.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly acquire extensive subject matter expertise.
• Professional client presence, influencing and active listening skills.
• Strong leadership, facilitation, presentation and change management skills.
• Demonstrable strong, dynamic written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly with various stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
• Lean Six Sigma (or other equivalent) experience and/or certification would be an asset
Experience/Education Required:
• 3+ year working as a Functional (or System or Business) analyst, designing software applications and detailing specifications for both business and technical audiences.
Other Desirable Skills
• Experience using tools, such as Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Jira are an asset.
• Experience in Digital Service design is an asset.
• Experience in Release and/or Agile methodologies an asset.
