RESPONSIBILITIES

In our Analytical and Material Science unit we are looking for a research scientist to strengthen our activities in the field of electrical properties of materials.

 

·  You will work in interdisciplinary teams to develop and optimize material solutions for the electrical and electronics (E&E) industry with a special focus on the innovation fields e-mobility, autonomous transportation and energy supply.
·  You will support R&D activities by comprehensively characterizing materials and providing a fundamental understanding of the underlying structure-property-relationships which will help to identify optimum material compositions and designs.
·  Furthermore, you will use a set of commercial as well as customized high-end methods and develop them toward the needs and requirements. You will work closely together with other characterization labs in our unit.
·  You will actively participate in the innovation process with project ideas of your own.
·  As a research scientist, you will be responsible for managing your employees in subject-specific terms.

QUALIFICATIONS

· 
PhD in physics, electrical engineeering, materials science or chemistry, on which you earned above-average marks

· 
proven experience in advanced electrical properties and measurement methods, ideally in the field of high-voltage electrical testing or dielectrical properties of materials

· 
good knowledge about physics (i.e. morphology and properties) and chemistry of polymeric materials

· 
profound data mindset and ability to leverage digital skills and means to solve scientific problems

· 
creative team player with strong cooperation as well as communication skills

·  good English skills
