Within the Group, you will join the Group Risk Management department, that enables sustainable growth and focused plan execution, through growth-enabling risk and control frameworks.
Within this Department, you will be part of the Strategic & Emerging Risks team, that is responsible for identifying, assessing, and addressing potential risks that may impact the organization in the future.
Your job and daily missions
JOB PURPOSE:
As an Emerging Risks Analyst, your role is to coordinate the process of identifying, assessing, mitigating, and monitoring emerging risks that could impact AXA in the next 5 to 10 years (e.g., climate change-related risks, technological disruptions, geopolitical instability, new diseases, …). You will contribute to the annual publication of AXA’s Future Risks Report and Emerging Risks Studies to delve deeper into specific risks. Additionally, you will facilitate an emerging risks community through activities such as quarterly calls, newsletters, and meetings.

CONTEXT AND MAJOR CHALLENGES:
Your main challenge will be to anticipate and monitor emerging risks, a crucial aspect of proactive risk management to prepare for potential threats impacting AXA’s business and operations in the long term. This requires a forward-looking view of the risk landscape and the ability to provide support in influencing and persuading risk managers, underwriters, claims managers, etc., to take timely action.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

<-- [if supportLists]-->- Monitor new risks through a watch of new articles, reports, studies, etc
<-- [if supportLists]-->- Update the emerging risks list
- <--[endif]-->Manage the governance of Emerging Risks at Group and local levels.
<-- [if supportLists]-->- Lead the Emerging Risk community and internal thematic working groups.
<-- [if supportLists]-->· Develop methodologies and tools, including Group guidelines
<-- [if supportLists]-->· Coordinate the annual survey on emerging risks and Future Risks Report preparation
<-- [if supportLists]-->· Communicate Emerging Risks through monthly newsletters, in-depth studies, and the annual AXA Future Risks Report.

MAIN COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCES:
· Technical knowledge and professional experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in insurance risk management or a related field, ideally with a specific focus on emerging risks or operational risks or ERM (Enterprise Risk Management)
- Good business acumen: understanding of the strategy of the Group, with a demonstrated ability to rapidly understand, assimilate, and analyze business issues
- Analytical and synthesizing skills, e.g. ability to draw conclusions and make recommendations
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral), with the ability to document and present information in a concise and business-oriented manner (e.g. for senior management)
- Background in business school, political science, or actuarial studies.
- Strong project management skills
- Fully fluent in English and French
- Good practice of MS Office suite
