As a Junior Credit Analyst, you will report to the Head of Research Europe, and you will be part of AXA IM Alts.
The Loan & Private Debt team is a dynamic part of AXA IM Alts' Structured Finance department, comprised of 100 experts managing over €50Bn in assets. Our Structured Finance department focuses on non-traditional fixed income products designed to deliver stable and predictable cash flows.

In this role, you will assist Loan Portfolio Managers and Senior Analysts with daily activities, perform investment reporting, and monitor operations for AXA IM Alts’ €12 billion+ Credit Portfolios under CLO and SMA fund formats.
Key responsibilities
• Prepare comprehensive credit write-ups, focusing on risk assessment and investment viability
• Develop cash flow models, including historical financial analysis and projection forecasting
• Analyze ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) factors as part of credit evaluations
• Conduct industry reviews and provide detailed analysis on key sectors
• Set up deal-specific data within the internal portfolio management tool (Maia)
• Assist in the development and structuring of analytical tools and databases for the investable universe
• Monitor and aggregate relevant market data (e.g., indices, volumes, prices, deal pipeline)
• Contribute to the creation of marketing materials and respond to various ad-hoc requests
• Provide general portfolio and credit analytics support, ensuring accuracy and actionable insights

Education and experience
• Graduate degree in Business, Engineering, or a Master's in Finance
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Leveraged Loans or High Yield Credit Analysis (including internships and apprenticeships), with a focus on modeling and/or structuring, preferably gained at a sell-side firm or buy-side firm
Skills
• Good understanding of financial statement analysis
• Proficiency in cash flow modeling
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
• Capable of managing multiple workstreams across various projects and deals for different senior analysts
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized with a strong work ethic
