Your work environment
The headquarters of the AXA Group (GIE AXA) brings together our corporate activities. It provides guidance and support to subsidiaries around the world, to ensure the coordination and monitoring of the Group's global strategy, the application of its standards, the consistency of commercial approaches and the sharing of best practices. Within the Group, you will join the Group Ceded Reinsurance team whose mission is to contribute to AXA Group overall earnings stability worldwide, to support our entities’ development, and to benefit from capital diversification and reinsurance retention, through optimizing and securing reinsurance programs of all AXA businesses and entities.
Within this Department, you will be part of the Underwriting Group Protection team whose mission is to structure and place the Group Covers. Within UGP you will be part of the UGP CAT team who is in charge of the Property CAT, Property Per Risk, Motor and Life covers.
Your position
As reinsurance executive, you will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing and set up the strategic underwriting approach for incoming reinsurance business from AXA entities in the name of AXA SA. You will also have the responsibility for reviewing, analyzing, structuring and placing the Specialty Group Cover. That cover protects all of AXA’s subsidiaries subject to risks ceded to AXA SA.
You will structure and place key programs including but not limited to the Motor and Life Programs, working in close connection with ‘client executives’ of our entities, in strong relation with AXA Group Risk Management, supported by brokers and reinsurers.
As part of this team, you will have the opportunity to :
- Prepare underwriting committee to underwrite AXA subsidiaries subject risks
- Structure programs for your subject risk portfolio covers in compliance with Group risk appetite
- Place reinsurance programs for Group covers in close collaboration with AXA entities, ensuring the adequate recourse to brokers
- Guarantee adequate collaboration with the actuarial department (analytics, reserving and risk management) and with the respective Lines of business within AXA entities
- Engage on or initiate transversal projects, operational and governance topics in collaboration with support functions teams
You will report to the Head of Reinsurance Underwriting & Group Protections – CAT.
Desired profile
Qualifications :
To succeed in your role, you will need:
· A first experience in an insurance, ideally reinsurance department or company such as underwriting, portfolio management, risk management or actuarial function, audit, finance.
· Knowledge of insurance and reinsurance techniques, products and markets
· Risk Analysis (data/wordings/structures)
· Organization and ability to manage administrative tasks
· Negociation skills
· Proficiency in both French and English, including speaking and writing
