About the role

 

  • Assist in identifying, assessing, and monitoring technology risks across PI systems.
  • Collaborate with enterprise teams (e.g., Cybersecurity, IT) to ensure PI-specific risks are addressed.
  • Support in the remediation of technology risk issues and track the implementation of mitigation strategies.
  • Assist with technology risk assessments involving AI, cloud, or new data platforms.
  • Review project documentation to identify potential risks and recommend controls.
  • Monitor post-implementation risk controls and support incident management processes.
  • Coordinate privacy impact assessments and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Monitor adherence to regulatory requirements, including CPS 230 , CPS234 and ISO 27001 standards.
  • Maintain the technology risk register and develop risk reporting dashboards.
  • Analyse incident trends and recommend improvements to technology risk management practices.
  • Support ongoing review of technology control effectiveness and recommend automation or process improvements.
  • Assist with documentation and maturity uplift activities.

 

About you

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in information Technology, Information Security or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in a technology risk, technology assurance or IT audit role within financial services, insurance, or a complex transformation environment.
  • Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, or CRISC are advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of risk management frameworks and regulatory requirements. (ISO 27001, NIST, APP, CPS 234/230)
  • Exposure to project governance, privacy assessments, and tech implementation lifecycle (SDLC/Agile).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, able to work across project, tech, and enterprise teams.
  • You are curious about emerging technologies like AI, machine learning, and RPA as well as how they impact risk in a regulated environment.

  • Ability to plan and prioritise effectively, organise tasks and manage competing resources and demands.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact and influence.
