We are looking for a Head of Market Management for Sweden, based in Stockholm.
Your Team
Our Nordic team is a service minded and well-experienced team. Our local presence is growing and now consists of over 50 dedicated employees, located in Copenhagen, Helsinki and Stockholm, supporting Nordic clients with comprehensive and multinational risk transfer and insurance solutions.
The Impact You Will Have
Reporting to the Managing Director for Nordics and being part of a strong Nordic market management team of three experienced colleagues. Together with the Nordic market management team and underwriting team, you will drive our commercial relations with a large base of local clients and brokers in Sweden, ensuring sustainable and profitable growth by applying our solution- and service oriented strategic sales approach. In this role you will also be supporting your colleagues across Nordics. As a team you are also part of the Market management team in the Benelux and Nordic Region and will work closely also with this team under the leadership of our Regional Head of Distribution for Benelux and Nordics.
Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
Represent and act as ambassador and go-to person for ALLIANZ COMMERCIAL on the Swedish market for large corp and upper mid corporate insurance solutions
Drive for profitable growth of the Swedish portfolio by winning new business and successfully retaining and developing existing business
Act as orchestrator internally in ALLIANZ COMMERCIAL between Lines of business and support-functions to secure a holistic client approach
Foster robust and long-term relationships with ALLIANZ COMMERCIAL key brokers and clients and generate trust and credibility with key stakeholders at appropriate levels
Facilitate brokers’ understanding of ALLIANZ COMMERCIAL’ underwriting appetite and core capabilities and position ALLIANZ COMMERCIAL as preferred insurer in its segment
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to identify and build a suitable customer pipeline and develop effective opportunity roadmaps to win new clients
Proactively lead and coordinate bids for client acquisition and renewals
Ensure deliverables are achieved and ensure smooth transition to the operational key account team
Proactively develop in-depth client and industry expertise, using this to challenge the client and uncover unstated needs
Proactively engage with the underwriting team to develop upsell and cross-sell opportunities and increase “share of wallet” with key brokers and clients and ensure structured pipeline and prospect management
What You’ll Bring to the Role
Proven track record in market management activities within the Swedish and / or Nordic large corp and upper mid corporate insurance market
Capable of driving strategic market management, defining client segmentation and communicating a clear value proposition
Expert knowledge of the Swedish market and / or Nordic direct clients and broker landscape
Proven success in building long-term relationships
Able to proactively foster and build business opportunities, creating networks across multiple stakeholders
Demonstrable success in driving profitable business, maintaining and developing existing business / new business
Able to work and navigate in an international matrix organization, working alongside regional and global teams
Strong communication skills, in both Swedish and English. Other Nordic language is an advantage.
IT savvy with an eye to driving process improvement and bringing on board new digital ways of working
Experience of SalesForce.com is positive
Excited by a context of change, able to adapt and thrive in a context of transformation
Experience in applying artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to improve business processes and decision-making is highly beneficial.
