We are looking for a motivated student for a 6-month internship, starting no later than July 1st, to join our Global Credit Research team as an Assistant Corporate Research Analyst. The Global Credit Research team underpins the firm's global investment process and value proposition as an active manager. Within the team, the successful candidate will work with the credit analyst specialized in Automotive, Retail and Holding sectors and support her in producing high-quality research for the global Fixed Income platform.
Specifically, the intern will investigate the key themes and drivers for each sector, building specialised know-how. He/She will help cover c.50 issuers in various sectors, listening to results conferences, participating in one-on-one meetings and engaging in ESG topics. The role also includes the update of AGI's proprietary models, based on financial reports and projections over a five-year horizon.
The intern will also be involved in continuous tools update and improvement. The position will allow the intern to develop strong expertise on fundamental and extra financial analysis, rating agencies methodologies, risk monitoring and relative value analysis. The successful candidate will join the Credit Research team in Paris (Richelieu-Drouot).
What you will do
· Build economic and sector-specific knowledge
· Review financial results, ad hoc releases and listen to calls
· Prepare and participate in interactions with issuers (including extra-financial)
· Update accounts of corporates in AGI's proprietary models
· Anticipate evolution of credit metrics and ratings
· Elaborate financial analysis comments
· Check consistency of data inputs and outputs
· Financial models
· Risk monitoring
· Relative value analysis
· Ad hoc requests.
What you bring
· Master’s degree in Finance, Financial Analysis or similar fields
· Solid understanding of financial accounting
· Analytical skills
· Strong Excel skills
· Good English
· Good communication, critical thinking and curiosity
· Bloomberg is a plus
· Python coding a plus.
