Then join us now as Intern Cybersecurity Operations based in Frankfurt am Main. The position is preferably for 6 months.
This position is within the Core IT Services department, which provides an IT infrastructure platform for the business. You will be part of a global team – Network Security Operations, collaborating with colleagues across Europe, Asia and the U.S. The team has two primary focuses; cybersecurity operations and network operations.
What you will do
· Assist in the identification and assessment of security vulnerabilities using various tools and techniques
· Collaborate with the security team to prioritize and remediate identified vulnerabilities
· Participate in vulnerability scanning and management of penetration testing activities
· Document and report on vulnerability findings and remediation efforts
· Explore and contribute to security engineering projects, such as designing and implementing security controls and solutions
· Stay up to date with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies.
What you bring
· Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
· Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
· Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
· Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys)
· Knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)
· Basic programming or scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash)
· Understanding of network and system security concepts.
