We are looking for a Global Communications Intern  (m/f/d), based in Munich. 

  

Your Team 

Our team supports the company's external and internal communications. We create and distribute messages across multiple channels with the help of our regional teams around the world. Our mission is to protect our brand and reputation, be a thought leader and trusted voice in the media, and drive employee engagement and shape our culture. 

 

The impact you will have 

Reporting to the Global Head of Communications, you will be right at the heart of the action, supporting our team across many different activities and projects (office and remote working). The focus of your work will be on supporting global  digital and internal communicationsplus media relations, but you’ll also be exposed to a range of other communications activities as part of a friendly and busy team with colleagues from around the world.   

 

Some of your specific responsibilities could include: 

  • Deliver global internal communications channels, including newsletters, intranet content, events and other digital, hybrid and in-person activities. 

  • Manage cross-channel content across various digital platforms, including selection of visuals, text, and picture editing.  

  • Work with content management systems, such as website, social media, intranet, and newsletters, to efficiently manage and distribute content. 

  •  Regularly monitor and analyze the performance of digital platforms and social media channels, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.  

  • Work as an interface between internal and social media to ensure multichannel use of content. 

  • Conduct editorial research and support additional projects related to internal and external communication. 

 

What you’ll bring to the role 

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Master degree program, with a focus on Communications Science, Marketing, Journalism, Business Administration, or other relevant fields.  

  • Preferably have previous experience as a journalist/editor or through internships in the field of digital communication.  

  • Proficient in MS Office tools, particularly MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.  

  • Familiarity with content management systems and photo editing tools; video editing skills are a bonus.  

  • Possess strong communication skills and ability to work efficiently in a professional, international working environment.  

  • Demonstrate a high degree of accuracy, reliability, initiative and independent working style. Highly self-motivated and an active team player with a good sense of humor.  

  • Strong English communication skills, with German language proficiency being beneficial. 

  • A willingness to learn and explore how AI can enhance your role and the broader organization is expected. 

 

Further information: 

  • Duration: At least six months (preferably longer)    

  • Working hours: 38 hours/week  

  • Enrolment at a university/college is a prerequisite for the duration of employment. 

  • Please note: For this internship position in Germany, you must be able to work full-time (up to 38 hours per week) legally under German visa regulations. 
    If you are a non-EU/EEA student, please ensure your residence permit allows full-time internships (not exceeding 120 full days or 240 half days per year unless the internship is mandatory and part of your studies).
