What you do:
Support the business by providing analysis and interpretation of accounting guidance to products, investments and transactions. Monitors new accounting pronouncements and their impact on the company. Drives forward initiatives within the team and department.
Job functions:
Technical analysis and communication:
· Ability to understand investment and actuarial topics, interpret, and apply relevant accounting literature to them.
· Develop thoughtful content and communication around our financial plan and strategy to enhance relationships with business partners, parent company and rating agencies.
· Support the strong relationship between Allianz Life and our parent company through formal governance and routine check-ins.
· Monitor and track business metrics, market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities to identify potential threats and opportunities for our organization.
Projects:
· Support business partners and team members through financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting and cost-benefit analysis.
· Communication, including written, oral and PowerPoint skills.
· Coordinates with finance peers and business partners to ensure timely completion of cross-department initiatives.
· Facilitates project meetings as appropriate for project size and scope.
· Plays a role in projects the team participates in (i.e. gathering information, responding to informational requests, etc.).
· Actively contributes to team processes and serves as lead for assigned deliverables.
Leadership and Communication:
· Collaborate cross-functionally on various projects and ad hoc requests.
· Maintain and continuously develop knowledge of evolving business activities.
· Build and sustain strong, positive relationships across the organization.
· Understand and support the team/division initiatives/goals.
· Proactively communicate with internal and external customers relevant to job responsibilities and project work.
What you bring:
· 2+ years’ experience required
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
· You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require immigration sponsorship for visa status now or in the future (e.g. H1-B, L-1, TN, etc.). If you are currently on CPT/OPT, you are ineligible due to the need for future immigration sponsorship.
Base Salary Range $56,000-132,000
Actual base salary may vary based upon factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, internal equity of peers, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual incentive program.
