DB2 System Engineer with DevOps skills

What you do

· 
·  Skilled in installing, configuring, and upgrading DB2 databases on Linux platforms.
·  Experience in managing large/complex databases.
· 
·  Conduct database tuning and optimization to enhance performance.
·  Monitor and analyse database performance, resolving issues to ensure query efficiency.
· 
·  Implement and maintain robust database security measures.
·  Proficient in managing databases with SSL and Native encryption.
· 
·  Oversee database backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
· 
·  Experienced in managing databases within an HADR environment using TSA ,Pacemaker.
· 
·  Proficient in scripting languages such as Shell, with additional expertise in Ansible being advantageous.

 

 

What you bring

·  Experience in managing DB2 databases within a pureScale environment.
·  Knowledgeable about cloud database services and related technologies.
·  Experience with automation tools and scripting, particularly Ansible.
·  Experience/Knowledge on migrating db2 databases from mainframe to Linux.
·  Migrating databases from Linux to AWS RDS
·  Possession of certification in DB2 or related database technologies is highly desirable.
