You will be working within the Finance team supporting the Chief Actuary to develop the actuarial processes and data capabilities for estimating loss reserves and technical provisions, as well as monitoring the portfolio performance across the full insurance scope of AZ Direct, currently 5 different countries (Italy, Spain, Germany, Netherlands and France).

Key responsibilities

Loss reserving, technical provision estimation and support of Actuarial Function tasks for mainly Motor Lines of Business
Develop and implement actuarial techniques with a view to ensuring adequacy of reserve levels and monitoring developments
Work and collaborate cross-functional with Claims, Pricing, Planning and Controlling
Support the development of the AZ Direct platform with regards to financial reporting
Monitor the business landscape in the four Allianz Direct entities
Support integration efforts of acquired companies into AZ Direct

Qualifications/Key skills

Succesfully completed studies in Mathematics, Statistics or Actuarial Sciences
Working towards an actuarial qualification
Competency in MS Office, WTW ResQ and SQL
Fluent in English
2-5 years of P&C actuarial experience in loss reserving and technical provision calculation
Accounting knowledge is ideal
Solid analytical skillset with well developed skills in data cleaning and transformations
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently and efficiently
High level of reliability
Open-minded towards new techniques and data investigation within a growing organization
Motivation and curiosity to dig deeper into problems
International working experience is a plus
Language Skills: Fluent in both German and English, with additional language skills considered an asset, enhancing communication across diverse teams
Strong Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication and report writing abilities, enabling clear and impactful presentation of complex information
