The Opportunity

 

The Claims Transformation System Analyst role is part of our newly formed Claims Transformation Team, dedicated to enhancing and maintaining the new claims system. This person will collaborate with Business Analysts, internal end-users, subject matter experts (SME), and the Claims IT team to gather requirements, analyze current processes, and configure workflows. Reporting to the Claims Transformation Manager, the Analyst will drive innovation and improvement across the Claims Department, ensuring seamless system operations and improved customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

 

·  Requirements Gathering & Documentation: Collaborate with Business Analysts and Stakeholder SMEs to conduct interviews, surveys, and workshops, thoroughly documenting business needs and requirements.
·  Process Analysis & Mapping: Analyze existing claims processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement, using LEAN methodologies to develop detailed process maps and workflows for transformation objectives.
·  Workflow Design & Rule Configuration: Identify suitable reference data for rule setting across journeys, schemes, and Lines of Business, and configure process flows to streamline operations.
·  Test Case Development & Validation: Create comprehensive test cases and maintain testing plans to ensure all configured journeys and potential outcomes are covered, facilitating robust system validation.
·  User & Permission Management: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and configure required work group and profile types, and manage permissions, aligning with joiner/leaver protocols.
·  Supplier Management & Configuration: Configure existing suppliers / partners / external stakeholders within the system and maintain profiles, developing processes for their addition and removal as well as system prompts for optimal selection, performance management etc
·  Communication and Documentation: Design automated communication strategies and create templated communications per line of business, claim type, customer segment etc. ensuring effective messaging, clarity and compliance.
·  Stakeholder Communication & Change Management: Facilitate communication between Claims, Product, and IT teams, providing regular updates and supporting change management and user training.
·  Portal Integration: Collaborate with Business Analysts, Tech, and Product teams to ensure journeys are configured for appropriate portal updates per claim type and line of business.
·  Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Support team members in driving innovation and improvement across the Claims Department, enhancing operational efficiency and customer experience.

 

Required Skills:

 

·  Strong analytical skills and proficiency in process mapping.
·  Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

 

Desirable:

 

·  Knowledge of Claims systems, insurance policies, and industry best practices
·  Proven experience in workflow design and system configuration.
·  Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience
·  Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams
