Job Description

In order to drive digital transformation in the context of Industry 4.0 in our Final Assembly Lines (FAL) Airbus has launched a strategic change program: DDMS - Digital Design Manufacturing and Services. As part of this program new technologies, processes, methods and IT tools are developed and tested in our 'Digital Factory' solution stream. In particular for our important A320 program the construction of a digital twin is crucial and has already started. Now we need your expertise and passion to successfully accomplish our project goals.

We are looking for people in the role of a Product Owner Digital Factory / Digital Twin (m/f/d) for the A320 FALs in Hamburg with profound knowledge in the following areas:

·  Digital Factory / Digital Twin ,
·  Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) ,
·  Industrial Sensors,
·  Geolocation and
·  Connectivity

The successful application of a digital twin in manufacturing requires also a fundamental understanding of manufacturing processes and basic knowledge of final assembly line’s operative areas.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Basic definition and implementation of network and infrastructure for connecting sensors, trackers, machine controls (PLC), cameras, etc. in cooperation with the functional teams on site
·  Identification, evaluation and use of IIoT potentials in the FAL
·  Collection and basic analysis of machine data in the FAL
·  Analysis and preparation of useful data for the assembly processes (process analysis)
·  Digital twin approach to monitor production progress
·  Coordination of basic machine-learning algorithms for data analysis with the appropriate specialists
·  Collaboration with the Airbus IT infrastructure teams for successful system integration
·  Communication between the operational area of ​​the FAL and the colleagues from IT in Hamburg and Airbus central areas.
·  Representation of  the FAL requirements towards the DDMS program and implementation in agile project mode with all functions involved

What we expect from you:

·  University degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or a similar field of study
·  Basic experience with digital manufacturing tools and techniques ideally in the aerospace industry
·  Basic knowledge in big data, data analytics and machine learning
·  Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on the ability to effectively influence others and a collaborative approach
·  A team-focused and self-empowered mentality with the proven ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
·  An ability to communicate complex and technical issues to diverse audiences
·  Business fluency in English and German
