In order to support Cabin Version Engineering, Airbus is looking for a
Version Engineer (d/f/m) Cabin Seating
In your new role as Customization Manager Cabin Seating, you will define, specify, and qualify passenger seat modules from Economy Class to the First Class Seat, adhering to Airbus guidelines, customer requirements, and the applicable certification regulations. In this role, you will be the single point of contact for internal customers, airline representatives, external manufacturers, and the supporting Airbus engineering teams
Your location
You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Experience the special flair of Hamburg in your spare time where vibrant cosmopolitan culture meets nautic legacy.

Your tasks and responsibilities
·
you will be responsible for the qualification of known but customized seat modules, in accordance with your (future) design organization delegation
·
you will support the upstream customer guidance/vendor selection process with your technical expertise
·
your project will begin by preparing and leading the technical portion of the ITCM (Initial Technical Coordination Meeting)
·
you will ensure the module's assembly capability and conduct test installations together with the FAL and the respective suppliers
·
you will complete the qualification with the accepted DDP (Declaration of Design and Performance) and the Mod qualification

fluent English (spoken and written) is a must

flexibility and the willingness to travel worldwide for business purposes in the interest of Airbus are essential
·
University degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or similar
·
extended experience with CATIA V5
