About the role...

Airbus Defence & Space are looking for a  Payload Industrial Manager  who will oversee and coordinate the development, testing, and delivery of optical payload equipment for the  TRUTHS program . This role will really be at the heart of one of Airbus Defence & Space key programs during 2025 and beyond. Working within the Earth Observation Optical Instruments Industrial & Partnering Management Department, the Payload Industrial Manager will ensure everything stays on  schedule , within  budget , and meets  quality standards . They will work with design teams, suppliers, and project managers to keep things running smoothly, solve any problems that arise, and adapt plans when necessary.

How you will contribute to the team...

· 
Project Management: Create and manage a detailed plan and schedule for testing, validating, and delivering payload equipment.

· 
Procurement: Oversee suppliers: pick the right ones, ensure they meet deadlines, and negotiate agreements.

· 
Assembly, Integration & Test (AIT): Work with engineering and testing teams to ensure the design can be manufactured and tested easily.

· 
Risk Management: Monitor risks, identify delays or issues, and propose solutions to keep the project on track.

· 
Leadership: Communicate updates and challenges with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.

About you...

· 
Strong experience in project management, industrial management, or a similar role.

· 
A Space Systems background, working on complex payload projects, ideally within optical instruments

· 
Excellent skills in understanding complex project schedules and solving issues.

· 
Good communicator who can simplify technical problems.
