Team: Airframe – Stress and Thermal Solutions 

The Stress & Thermal Solutions team is a part of the ‘Airframe Stress and Design’ group within Airframe department and plays a key role providing solutions through Assessment of structural  integrity of Aircraft structures/assemblies.  

The team extends competencies in area of Structural Thermal analysis using FE/FV with stand ard thermal methods and processes.  

The goal of the thermal analysis is to provide and to assess the effects of temperatures onto the  aircraft design under normal operating conditions or systems failure conditions followed by  transferring these loads for stress analysis. 

Role: To support aircraft design using Structural Thermal Analysis to assess thermal impact on  aircraft structures. 

Technical skills required: 

∙ Understanding of Aircraft structure and systems. 

∙ Basic knowledge of Mathematical Modelling, FEM, FVM and Simulation techniques ∙ Strong understanding of Heat Transfer process, Thermodynamics and material proper ties. 

∙ Experience on Structural Thermal Analysis to assess thermal impact on aircraft struc tures. 

∙ Understanding of temperature mapping, effect and theories. 

∙ Engineering Mechanics of composite/metallic materials. 

∙ Awareness of Thermal aspects related to Design, Systems, Manufacturing, Industrial etc. ∙ Exposure of operability and in-service aspects. 

∙ Awareness of methods & tools development process & automation. 

Tools: NX11, NX-IDEAS, SIMCENTRE, TMG, PATRAN, ANSYS, CATIA 

Programming language: Basics knowledge of programming using any language e.g. C, Py thon, Fortran, TCL/TCK etc

∙ Ability to work in a transverse environment with multiple stakeholders Departments Allowed: Aerospace/Mechanical/ Civil / Manufacturing.
